A little knowledge about Duck-shit Oolong Tea
What is Duck-shit Oolong Tea?
"Duck-shit Oolong Tea" might raise eyebrows with its name, but this tea has become a prized ingredient in the world of premium milk tea. Originating from Guangdong's Phoenix Mountains, this oolong earns its unusual name from the local farmers' humorous attempt to protect its unique cultivar from being replicated.
Why it is so good to make drinks?
The tea leaves are distinctively flaky with visible stalks, and when brewed, they yield a golden liquor with a complex profile. Its signature roasted aroma carries a memorable woody note ("cong wei"), complemented by a subtle floral undertone and a clean, refreshing finish. This robust flavor stands up beautifully to milk and sweeteners, making it an ideal base for milk tea.
What beverage does it usually make for?
Recommended drinks: Milk cap tea, milk tea, explosive lemon tea, tea latte, and more.
